BROOKLANDS MUSEUM

Our brief at this iconic location was to restore the hospitality and events areas in the Clubhouse, allowing the Brooklands Trust to further develop this revenue generating aspect of their activities.

The approach we adopted was to draw inspiration from the wealth of heritage that is associated with this historic venue.

We harnessed state of the art 21st Century techniques to reflect the glamour of the Brooklands years, by using computer-aided weaving processes to produce huge new repeat carpets which reflect the modernist floor coverings of the 1920s-30s. Similarly we employed scene-setting lighting controls, utilising LED lamps in period fittings to allow the room lighting to be adapted to the different functions that might be held there.

Our schemes can be seen in the following rooms:

Napier Room             300m² approx.
Bluebird Room          110m²  approx.
Members’ Lounge     80m² approx.
Ford Suite                   25m² approx.
